When you hear the word influencer or leader, do you picture yourself?
For many women, the idea of leadership feels intimidating, maybe even unrelatable. We assume leadership is reserved for people with titles, huge platforms, or official positions.
The truth is, every woman is called to lead in some way.
Leadership isn’t just about running a business, managing a team, or speaking on a stage. It’s about influence—and every woman influences the people around her, whether in her family, her community, her workplace, or her creative work.
If you’re a faithful creative, entrepreneur, or woman called to serve in a bigger way, then embracing leadership is about showing up with confidence, clarity, and purpose, trusting that God has equipped you for the work he has placed in front of you.
What Leadership Looks Like for Women of Faith
Christian leadership isn’t about control, power, or recognition. It’s about serving well. It’s about bringing God along into the spaces where he has placed us.
Here’s what it means to lead with grace in different areas of life:
💡 In Your Home – You lead by creating a space where faith, love, and growth can flourish. Whether you’re raising children, strengthening your marriage, or caring for aging parents, your leadership shapes the spiritual and emotional environment of your family.
💡 In Your Work – Leadership isn’t just for executives. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a teacher, a writer, or a creator, you lead by the way you serve others through your work. Your ability to show up with integrity, passion, and purpose is a form of leadership.
💡 In Your Community – Maybe your leadership shows up in quiet ways—mentoring a younger woman, volunteering at church, or offering encouragement to a friend. We should never underestimate the impact of showing up and being present for others.
3 Ways to Step Into Your Influence with Confidence
If God has placed a calling on your heart, you don’t have to wait until you “feel ready” to lead. You can start right where you are. Here’s how:
1. Own Your Influence.
You don’t need a title to be a leader. Every conversation, every relationship, and every opportunity you step into is a chance to bring light and grace into the world. Recognize the influence you already have and use it for good.
2. Lead From Your Gifts.
God has given you specific talents and strengths—use them! Maybe you’re a natural encourager, a problem solver, or a creative thinker. Your leadership will look different from someone else’s, and that’s a good thing. Lean into what makes you unique.
3. Trust That God Will Equip You.
Many of the greatest leaders in Scripture—Moses, Esther, Mary—didn’t feel “ready” for their calling. But God doesn’t wait for us to be perfectly prepared; He calls us in our imperfection and gives us grace us as we step forward in faith.
